On November 30, 2013 the Guelph Police were conducting speed enforcement in the area of Wellington Street West and Imperial Road South. At 12:24 p.m., a motor vehicle was stopped after a speed reading was obtained with a laser speed measuring device. The motor vehicle had been travelling 112 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone.
A 57-year-old Guelph male has been charged with stunt driving – excessive speed and speeding under the Highway Traffic Act. The motor vehicle has been seized for seven days and his driver’s licence suspended for seven days.
