$10,000 Cocaine Bust In Barrie

On Thursday March 19th, the Barrie Police Street Crime Unit in conjunction with PAVIS commenced an investigation into a male believed to be dealing drugs at various locations throughout the City of Barrie.

Further investigation led to the males arrest along with a 101 grams of cocaine- a street value of $10,100 and a quantity of money seized. The male was transported to the Barrie Police Station and held for a bail hearing.

On Friday the March 20th, Street Crime continued their investigation and executed a search warrant in the area of Little Avenue and Yonge Street. During the execution of their search warrant officers located and seized an additional quantity of cash, 2 prohibited weapons (Mace / Switchblade), an imitation firearm and stolen property.

The 33 year- old Barrie male is now facing several drug related charges:Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking,Trafficking in a Controlled Substance,Possession of a Controlled Substance,Possession of a Prohibited Weapon x2,Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon x2 and Breach of Probation x2.
