Zachary Barnett – Drunk Driving

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – On September 19, 2023, at 9:08 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police, responded to a single vehicle collision on Grey Road 3 in the Township of Chatsworth.

Members of the Grey Bruce OPP attended and, upon speaking with the driver it became apparent that the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment.

As a result, Zachary Barnett a 38-year-old from the Municipality of Meaford has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 12, 2023.

Violence Soaring In Huron County

(GODERICH, ON) – On September 1st, 2023, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted for a report of an intimate partner dispute incident in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had committed assaults on their partner.

A 30-year-old individual from Goderich has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault – Spousal and Assault with a Weapon.

The accused was arrested and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 11th, 2023, in the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

(NORTH HURON, ON) – On September 8th, 2023, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted for a report of an intimate partner dispute incident in the Township of North Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had committed several criminal offences against their partner.

A 63-year-old individual from North Huron has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault – Spousal, Mischief – Domestic, and Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

The accused was arrested and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 20th, 2023, in the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

On September 9th, 2023, the Huron County OPP responded to a complaint relating to the same individual. The investigation revealed that the 63-year-old suspect charged the day before had committed a break and enter and had failed to comply with their undertaking. The accused was arrested again, additional charges were laid, and the accused was held in custody for a bail hearing. The accused was subsequently released with a court date of October 16th to speak to all the above-mentioned charges.

(GODERICH, ON) – On September 11th, 2023, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted for a report of an intimate partner violence incident that had occurred in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had assaulted their ex-partner and failed to comply with their previous release order.

A 46-year-old individual from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Twp has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault – Spousal (two counts) and Failing to Comply with Release Order (four counts).

The accused was arrested, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On September 12th, 2023, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted for a report of an intimate partner dispute incident in the Municipality of South Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had assaulted their partner.

A 52-year-old individual from London has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault – Spousal.

The accused was arrested, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 6th, 2023, in the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On September 12th, 2023, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted for a report of an intimate partner dispute incident in the Municipality of South Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had assaulted their partner.

A 75-year-old individual from South Huron has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault – Spousal.

The accused was arrested, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 23rd, 2023, in the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

(GODERICH, ON) – On September 14th, 2023, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted for a report of an intimate partner dispute incident in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had committed assaults on their ex-partner.

A 29-year-old individual from Goderich has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault – Spousal (two counts).

The accused was arrested and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 20th, 2023, in the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

Prohibited Driver Has Vehicle Impounded For 45 Days

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a West Perth resident with a Prohibited Driving offence following a traffic violation observed by police on September 7th, 2023. 

On Thursday evening, September 7th at 9:00 p.m., Huron County OPP were patrolling in Clinton when they observed a driver fail to stop for a red traffic light on Ontario Street.

A traffic stop was conducted, and police spoke to the male driver who was found to be prohibited from driving. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody. The accused was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for processing.

Clinton HARRIS, 32 years of age from West Perth has been charged with:

–      Operation while Prohibited.

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 23rd at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

27 Year Old From Goderich Arrested

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with several offences following a traffic stop for speeding on September 1st, 2023. 

On Friday, September 1st at 9:37 a.m. a Huron County OPP officer was patrolling on Bluewater Highway in the Municipality of Bluewater when a traffic stop was conducted on a speeding northbound motor vehicle. In speaking to the driver, the investigating officer determined that the driver had consumed alcohol prior to driving and was subsequently arrested for Impaired Operation following a failed roadside screening breath test.

The accused was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton to provide breath tests before a qualified Intoxilyzer Technician. Suitable breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Kirk EVERSON, 27 years of age from Goderich has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80,

–      Dangerous Operation.

The accused was additionally charged with offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA), and the Cannabis Control Act (CCA).

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 16th, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Repeat Offender Arrested For Wingham Armed Robbery

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit is investigating a robbery that took place in the Town of Wingham, Township of North Huron on September 5th, 2023, on Josephine Street.   

On September 5th, 2023, at 10:11 a.m., Huron County OPP was contacted by the owner of a retail business on Josephine Street who advised police that a male suspect had just shoplifted items from the store and brandished a boxcutter-style knife demanding the caller’s wristwatch. The male departed on foot and was located shortly after by OPP officers at a nearby restaurant. The accused was still in possession of the knife and was arrested for several criminal offences as follows:

Kevin SHARMAN, 34 years of age of no fixed address has been charged with:

–      Robbery with a Weapon,

–      Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose,

–      Theft Under $5,000,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing where he was remanded into custody awaiting a further court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Jacob WEISHAR – Drunk Driving


(CARRICK TWP, ON)
 – On September 16, 2023, at 4:07 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle along Concession 10 in Carrick Township. Officers located the vehicle and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol.

Jacob WEISHAR, 25-years-old, from Culross Township was charged with Impaired Driving and Operate over 80 milligrams.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on October 25, 2023, to answer to the charge.

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver’s license suspension and an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment.

Meth Bust – Michael BERNARD Arrested Again

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) has charged a Huron East resident with several offences after two motorcycles were observed by police travelling at a high rate of speed on Huron Road on September 11th, 2023. 

On Monday afternoon, September 11th just after 1:00 p.m., a Huron County OPP officer was patrolling on Huron Road East of Clinton when they observed two motorcycle operators driving westbound on Huron Road at very high speeds. The offenders continued driving through Clinton speeding, passing, and driving dangerously.

Officers ahead set up observations in Goderich and located one of the motorcycle operators in the area of Hincks Street. Officers arrested the operator and located illegal substances on the accused during a search. The accused was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for processing.

Michael BERNARD, 34 years of age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Dangerous Operation,

–      Failure to Comply with Release Order,

–      Possession of Schedule I substance – methamphetamine,

–      Possession of Schedule I substance – other.

The accused was additionally charged with several offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The involved vehicle was towed as it was deemed unfit for the road.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody where he remains pending a further court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Morgan PHILIP – Drunk Driver

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron East resident with an Impaired Operation – Over 80 driving offence following a traffic stop on Sunday, September 10th. 

On September 10th, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., police observed a southbound motor vehicle travelling on North Line in Huron East. The officer conducted a traffic stop to check the sobriety of the driver. Police spoke to the driver and determined that they had been consuming alcohol prior to driving. The driver registered a “Fail” on the roadside screening device (ASD) and was subsequently placed under arrest for Operation Over 80 and taken into custody. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP detachment in Sebringville for further breath tests with an OPP qualified breath technician.

Morgan PHILIP, 36 years of age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days and the involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 16th at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Drunk Driver Arrested At RIDE – WILLITS

(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – This past weekend, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) laid an impaired driving charge and served a three-day driver’s license suspension at R.I.D.E. checkpoints.

  • On September 16, 2023, at 2:00 a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting RIDE along Bruce County Road 33 in Bruce Township when a vehicle stopped. Officers found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician for breath tests. Brenda WILLITS, 39-years-old from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with Operate over 80 milligrams. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on November 29, 2023, to answer to the charge.
  • On September 16, 2023, at 12:35 a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting RIDE along Bruce County Road 23 in Kincardine Township when a vehicle stopped. Officers found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A 51-year-old Municipality of Kincardine resident was served a three-day driver’s license suspension following a warn range result at the roadside.

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver’s license suspension and an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment.

Aaron MARSHALL Wanted By Police – Call 911 Immediately If Seen

(Hamilton, ON) – The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of his breach of statutory release.

Aaron MARSHALL is described as a male caucasian, 34 years of age, 5’6″ (167 cm), 266 lbs (121 kgs) with black hair and hazel eyes. He usually has facial hair.

He is serving a 5 year and 15 day sentence for Unauthorised Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Weapon Contaray to a Prohibition order, Possession of a Schedule I Substance x2 and Possession of a Schedule Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x3.

The offender is known to frequent the Cities of Hamilton, Hanover, Kincardine, Owen Sound and Walkerton ON.
