Shortly after 6:00 p.m. last night, a 22-year-old man struck a 63-year-old Chatham woman on Erie Street North near Talbot Road East causing $1500 damage. Neither driver was injured. The man was charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service were kept busy last night in Ridgetown. Between midnight and 2:30 a.m. four men, all ages 19-20 years, were arrested at various times for being intoxicated in a public place. All were transported to police headquarters and held in custody until sober for their own safety.
