MORAN – Drunk Driving

(WATFORD, ON) – On December 18, 2022, at 12:15 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were initiating a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint on Nauvoo Road when they noticed a vehicle being driven erratically.  

Upon speaking with a driver, it became apparent they had consumed an alcoholic beverage and were displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two samples over the legal limit.

Garrett MORAN, 31-years-old of Brooke-Alvinston, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

A reminder that the OPP Festive RIDE season is ongoing through to the beginning of January. Lambton County OPP has laid 11 impaired charges so far this holiday season while conducting Festive RIDE programs throughout the county.
