Jared MAJOR – Drunk Driving

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A R.I.D.E program in the City of Thunder Bay has led to one individual being arrested and charged with impaired operation.

On March 24, 2024, shortly after 1:00 a.m., members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E program on Balsam Street in the City of Thunder Bay. A motor vehicle approached and drove through the R.I.D.E program without stopping.

Officers were able to later stop the motor vehicle.

Through investigation, it was determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Thunder Bay OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Jared MAJOR, 25-years-old, of Thunder Bay, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

·        Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on May 3, 2024.
