(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On April 26, 2021, just after 7:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a possible impaired driver in the area of Listowel Memorial Park, near Royal Street, in the Municipality of North Perth. Police located the driver, who was showing signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to a local OPP detachment where a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) conducted a series of tests, and the driver was deemed to be impaired by a drug.
As a result, Douglas RAYSON, 59, of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with:
– Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
A 90-day driving suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
If you suspect someone is driving while their ability to operate a motor vehicle is impaired, either by drug or alcohol, call police at 911 to report it immediately.

This is a false charge. Local police recieved 4 breath samples all negative. Then demanded blood sample , no results have deemed any wrong doing. The only drugs inacused blood system was prescribed by doctor, a letter from doctor stating the accused was on this medication over 7 years and did not affect his ability to operate a motor vehicle. Charges will have to be dropped as soon as blood results are available.
I was falsely accused of being impaired by a drug . I stated at the time of arrest the only drug in my system was my medication I’ve been taking for my disability. I supmited 4 samples of my breath all negative. The so took blood sample that no results are available at this time. A letter stating I have been on a pain medication for 7 yrs that does not impair my ability to drive was submitted by my family doctor. So no crime has been committed. My blood results will prove my inascence.
Tell it to the judge. Why are you trying to convince the people that read this that you are innocent. Frankly my dear, we dont give a shit one way or the other. Me thinks you protest to much.
Who ever was the low life who wrote the last comment should have this bullshit happen to them when innocent. And depend on Thier disability cheque to live. And being wrongfully accused and give up 3/ 4 of your cash to get your vehicle back. And forced to wait over 4 weeks just to get blood sample back , once they get it back have to get lawyer to drop unfare discrimitive unfounded
charges.
So called Dr Drug. So your as racist as the cop that layed the charges. To bad you were to much of a coward to use your name. The case has been filed with the human right commission. They have submitted a complaint to police review board. I have hired a lawyer to sue for wrongful arrest. Not all people are guilty and deserve being imbaristed by such write ups like this.

Thiers is more than one way to discriminate , as a injury that make a individual unable to function. And not taking a accident injury into account, when the disability is stated clearly at time of arrest. That my friend is discrimination. And maybe you shouldn’t comment when you don’t know the facts.
