Drug Bust – Executed At Residence

A Guelph male faces drug and property charges after a warrant was executed at his residence last week.

On January 15, 2021, members of the Guelph Police Service High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) and Tactics and Rescue Unit executed a warrant at an apartment unit on Imperial Road North near Speedvale Avenue West. Information had been received in late 2020 about occupants of the apartment trafficking controlled substances.

A 32-year-old Guelph female was arrested on scene and faces charges of possessing controlled substances and possessing stolen property under $5,000. She will appear in court May 7, 2021.

Following further investigation, a 37-year-old Guelph male was arrested at the apartment on Wednesday. He is charged with five counts of possessing a controlled substance, three counts of possessing identity documents not in his name and two counts of breaching probation. A small amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine and other controlled substances were seized.

He will appear in court May 11, 2021.
