Collision Update – Ejected Occupant Succumbs To Injuries

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating a two vehicle collision that sent one of the occupants to hospital with life threatening injuries. The collision occurred on Highway 6 between 3rd Line and 4th Line in Hagersville, Haldimand County, ON.   

On Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 6:51 a.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County paramedics responded to Highway 6 for a two vehicle collision where a witness reported a vehicle had rolled over and that one of the occupants was ejected and appeared unresponsive.

Haldimand County paramedics transported the ejected 27-year-old female occupant to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries where they were subsequently transferred to an out of town hospital via Air Ornge Ambulance.

The occupant has succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital on Sunday March 14, 2021.

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Ashley BANNER of the Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation, ON.
