Robbery In Goderich – Suspects At Large – Armed & Dangerous

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit is investigating a robbery that took place in Goderich on January 23, 2023, at a business on Huron Road. 

On Monday, January 23, 2023, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Huron County OPP was contacted by a store manager who called to report a robbery that had just taken place. Two suspects, a male and female had reportedly stolen numerous items from the store and loaded the items into a smaller SUV just outside the building. During the robbery, the male suspect brandished a knife and threatened the employees who had given chase after the thieves. The male suspect also threatened the employees with a gun; however, one was not observed. The vehicle was last seen travelling at a high rate of speed through the parking lot and eastbound onto Huron Road leaving Goderich. 

The suspects pictured in the images below are described as follows:

Male suspect: Approximately 30 years of age, Caucasian, 6′ tall, short hair, brown beard, eyeglasses. Wearing a black and white “NIKE’ track suit, a black baseball hat with a green brim, and black running shoes. (Note – 2nd photo shows suspect wearing a brown jacket that was stolen from store).

Female suspect: Approximately 30 years of age, Caucasian, 5’5″ tall, red died hair. Wearing a pink jacket, black toque, black tights, and black boots with fur tops.

Involved vehicle: Small, older model sport utility vehicle (SUV), possibly a GMC/Chevrolet Tracker four-door model with a spare tire on rear. A small plow attachment was affixed to the front of the SUV. The front right wheel rim is either black or rusty. The vehicle is believed to be a manual transmission and has a noisy exhaust.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance should they have any knowledge of this incident, suspects, or involved vehicle.
