Puppy On Driver’s Lap Leads To Rollover Collision Near Wingham

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Morris-Turnberry resident with Careless Driving following a single vehicle rollover on January 15th on Howick-Turnberry Road.

Just after 11:15 a.m. on January 15th, Huron County OPP responded to a collision scene involving an SUV on Howick-Turnberry Road, outside Wingham.

The investigation revealed that the lone female driver was holding her puppy while driving at which time the puppy fell into the driver’s side wheel well area, causing the driver to lose control of the Cadillac Escalade and enter the ditch, rolling the SUV. The driver received minor injuries and was transported to Wingham hospital and later released. The puppy was reportedly uninjured.
