One Airlifted Following Collision

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) – On September 3, 2021 at 6:56 a.m., the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision along Nile Road in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawnosh Township. Officers arrived to find that a passenger vehicle had collided with a tree.

The driver of the vehicle has been air-lifted to a London hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The Nile Road has been closed between Blyth Road and Lucknow Line for the protection of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area.

Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) unit are assisting the Huron County OPP with this investigation.

The investigation is in its early stages, updates will be provided as they become available.
