Matthew MILLER – Break And Enter, Assault Police

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A resident of Zorra Township in Oxford County is facing charges after he was caught stealing items out of a seasonal home located east of Goderich.

On June 14, 2021 at approximately 5:25 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received information about a break and enter in progress at a trailer located at Falls Road.

Within a few minutes officers arrived on scene and were able to locate the suspect still on scene. Further investigation revealed the suspect had loaded up a vehicle full of items taken from a trailer that did not belong to him. 

As a result, officers placed the suspect under arrest and took him into custody. During the arrest the accused also attempted to assault one of the arresting officers.

Matthew MILLER, 42 years of age from Zorra Township has been charged with: Break & Enter, Theft Over $5,000 and Assault Peace Officer. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 9, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
