Impaired Motorcyclist Crashes Bike

(HURON EAST, ON) – A crash involving a motorcycle has led to an arrest and subsequent charges against a Huron East resident.

On Saturday, August 14, 2021 at approximately 5:51 p.m. Huron County Paramedic Services and Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the crash scene located on Front Road east of Seaforth.

The driver of a motorbike sustained minor injuries after he lost control trying to make a pass and wiped out. While speaking with the driver of the motorbike the investigating officer had reason to believe the driver was impaired. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and was later transported to the Huron Detachment for breath tests.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 27, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
