Fatal Collision Update – Name Of Deceased Released

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a fatal collision that took place yesterday afternoon south of Carlow.   

On Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 4:30 p.m., Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services and firefighters from the Goderich Fire Department responded to the collision scene located on Lucknow Line (Huron County #1) south of Carlow. 

Upon arrival first responders located a motorcycle that had collided with the side of a farm tractor that was pulling an unloaded hay wagon. As a result of the collision both the driver and the passenger on the motorcycle were ejected.  

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger, a 35-year-old, from Goderich was transported to hospital via air ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.   

The deceased has since been identified as Gregory CRAWFORD, 50 years of age, from Central Huron.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.   

Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team attended the scene to assist with the collision investigation.

Lucknow Line (Huron County #1) between Blyth Road and School Road was closed for several hours for the collision investigation.
