Catherine CORR Arrested Again – Passed Out Behind Wheel, Drugs, Etc. Etc.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 33-year-old female and 53-year-old male, both from North Huron are facing several criminal charges following a report of a suspicious vehicle that was reported to police earlier this week.

On Monday, October 17, 2022 at approximately 08:30 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a report of a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the Exeter Tim Horton’s parking lot. 

Officers arrived minutes later and located a Dodge Caliber automobile with two occupants inside. Officers attempted to speak to the occupants, but both were initially unresponsive. The female driver and male passenger were eventually woken and identified. Evidence of drug use was observed inside the vehicle. The investigating officer noticed signs that the driver was under the influence of a drug. As a result, the driver was placed under arrest for Operation while Impaired. Subsequent to the arrest, a search of the driver revealed a quantity of suspected fentanyl.

The male passenger was also arrested on the strength of two outstanding warrants. After searching the passenger, a quantity of suspected fentanyl was also found on his person.

Officers conducted a check on the vehicle and determined it had been stolen the day previous. Both suspects were transported to the Huron O.P.P. detachment in Clinton where they were processed and held for a bail hearing.

33-year-old Catherine CORR from North Huron has been charged with the following offences:

Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2 counts.

53-year-old Robin Wellstead from North Huron has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid.
