Adam KONKLE Arrested Again – Theft, Fraud, Etc.

NORTH HURON, ON) – A North Huron resident remains in custody following a police investigation conducted by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) last week.

On Wednesday, October 13, 2021 Huron County OPP officers responded to a business in Blyth to investigate a theft of a motor vehicle incident whereupon the business owner was also threatened. 

Police learned the accused attended the business and stole his vehicle out of the vehicle impound facility. When confronted the accused threatened the owner and proceeded to drive away from the tow facility. 

Later that day officers observed the accused operating the automobile on Harriston Road. An officer attempted to stop the driver however he immediately took off at a high rate of speed and failed to stop. 

On October 15, 2021 the accused was arrested by Guelph Police Service and was later transferred over to the custody of Huron OPP.

Adam KONKLE, 41 years of age from North Huron has been charged with the following offences:

·        Theft Under $5,000

·        Uttering Threats

·        Fraud Under $5,000

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order – 3 counts

·        Flight From Police Officer

·        Drive While Under Suspension – 2 counts

·        Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance – 2 counts

The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 20, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
