36 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(WEST PERTH, ON) – On November 2, 2022, just before 8:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint on Line 32 in the Municipality of West Perth.  

Upon speaking with a driver who entered the checkpoint, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage, at which time a roadside screening device was administered. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to a local operations center for further testing.

Mallory LYONESS PAYNE, a 36-year-old resident of West Perth has been charged with the following:

–      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
