(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On January 14, 2023, at approximately 3:40 p.m., officers from the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for speeding on Perth Line 88 in the Municipality of North Perth.
When the officer approached the vehicle, the officer observed open alcohol in the vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to a local operations center for further testing.
Johan ANDRES, 34-year-old of Gowanstown, has been charged with:
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
