(WEST PERTH, ON) – On August 21, 2022, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted by a Good Samaritan reporting a motor vehicle collision. A male was observed laying under a vehicle with front end and driver’s side damage.
Officers arrived on scene and the driver was subsequently taken into custody with some resistance and transported to a local operations centre for further testing.
As a result, Kurtis TURNER, 26, of Kitchener, has been charged with:
– Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
– Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Resist Peace Officer
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
