A Toronto Police officer has been arrested and charged by the Toronto Police Service.
It is alleged that:
- the member unlawfully accessed private police databases on multiple occasions between June and December 2025.
Constable Rifat Hassan, 33, has been arrested and charged with:
- Unauthorized use of computer
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on July 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., in room 202.
Constable Hassan was assigned to 53 Division and has approximately 10 months of service. The process for suspension without pay has commenced as per the requirements of the Community Safety and Policing Act of Ontario.
This arrest is not related to Project South.
