6 Month OPP Investigation Gets More Drugs Off The Streets

(GATINEAU, QC) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has wrapped-up a six month investigation, resulting in two arrests in the Province of Quebec.

The investigation, dubbed Project STOW, culminated with simultaneous search warrants being executed on December 2, 2020 at two locations in the Gatineau, Quebec area. Officers of the Street Crime Unit were assisted by the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Sûreté du Québec and Gatineau Police. Officers seized a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, as well as cocaine, illicit cannabis, ammunition, over $2000 in cash and items typically associated with drug trafficking. Two males in their 40s were taken into custody at the two locations. They were released while the investigation continues.
