2 More Impaired Drivers

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – The Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged two more drivers for impaired over the weekend.

On July 2, 2021 at approximately 10:35 p.m., police received traffic complaints of an erratic driver on Highway 401, South-West Oxford Township.

As a result of locating the vehicle and conducting a traffic stop, the driver was arrested.

Claudio GONCALVES, 36-years-old of Norwich was charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).

On July 4, 2021 at approximately 2:00 a.m., police received a report of a disturbance on Wellington Street, Ingersoll and that one of the individuals involved left the area operating a motor vehicle.

Police located the vehicle nearby, and took the driver into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Mackenzie DEUTSCHLANDER of Ingersoll was charged with Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).

Both of the accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.
