(MACHAR TWP, ON) – On Friday December 23, 2016 at approximately 6:30 a.m. the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist a motor vehicle who had gone into the ditch on Highway 11, just south of the Mountainview exit.
Police arrived at the location where the vehicle was in the ditch and spoke to the driver, Herbert BIGELOW, 53 of North Bay Ontario and subsequently arrested and charged him with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday January 26, 2017 in Sundridge Ontario.
