(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – On December 29, 2016 shortly after 11:30am officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault that had occurred in the area of Highway 35 and Highway 7A, Manvers Twp.
After an investigation, 29 year old, Shannon BENTLEY of Windsor is charged with the following offences:
Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CCC
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Probation Order contrary to section 117.01(1) of the CCC (2 counts)
Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CCC
(2 counts)
Mischief contrary to section 430(1) (b) of the CCC.
The accused has been held in custody and will appear in Lindsay for a bail hearing this morning.
