(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) Members from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, Community Drug Action Team, with the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit and Huronia West OPP Street Crimes Unit, recently arrested and charged two parties and conducted a search warrant at a residence in relation to a drug investigation.
On January 13 2017, officers conducted a vehicle stop on County Road 29 in Springwater Township. Investigation at scene found that the two occupants of the vehicle were in possession of controlled substances which resulted in their arrest and transport to detachment.
Further investigation led officers to obtain a search warrant at a residence in the City of Barrie where officers seized 454 grams of marihuana, 84 grams of cocaine, cannabis resin and approximately $590 in cash as well as drug paraphernalia.
Charged are 21 year-old Jacob RYAN and 20 year-old Kristinna SANTINI, both from Wasaga Beach. They are both facing charges of possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis resin, possession of controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.
They are to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on February 21 2017.
