(IGNACE, ON) – On January 18, 2017 at approximately 11:25 am Ignace Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a motor vehicle (pick-up truck) in regards to a traffic complaint that occurred on Highway 17, Hodgson Township (approximately 30 km West of Ignace.
As a result of the vehicle stop, Ignace OPP officers charged the driver of the vehicle with the following offences:
Kristen BLACKRIDER, 26 years old of Calgary, Alberta
1. Driving While Ability Impaired by Drug contrary to Section 253(1) (a) of the Criminal Code.
2. Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.
3. Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to Section 145(3) of the Criminal Code.
BLACKRIDER was arrested and will appear in court on January 20, 2017 in Sioux Lookout to answer to the charges.
