(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Street Crime Unit has charged a 53-year-old male and 26-year-old female after conducting an investigation at a Colborne Street South, Simcoe Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, January 21, 2017 at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Street Crime Unit were on patrol in the area of Colborne Street South, when a male and female attracted the officer’s attention. Both were subsequently stopped by police and investigated.
As result of the investigation, police seized a quantity of illicit drugs along with Canadian currency.
Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine, resist peace officer, obstruct person in lawful seizure, possession property obtained by crime under $5,000, two (2) counts of breach of recognizance and fail to comply with probation order is 53-year-old Stephen Douglas RICHARDS of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine, possession property obtained by crime under $5,000, two (2) counts of breach of recognizance and fail to comply with probation order is 26-year-old Chantal Marie WETHERUP of no fixed address.
Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
