Richard HOLYOKE – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On Saturday, February 11, 2017 officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a blue Volvo driving erratically in the Caledon area. An officer from the Caledon Detachment subsequently located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Upon investigation, the officer determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by the consumption of alcohol and arrested the driver of the Volvo.

As a result of the police investigation, Richard HOLYOKE, 65, of Caledon was charged with the following offences:

Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol

The 90 day Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and the involved motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on February 23, 2017.
