(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On the 26th of February 2017 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Quinte West detachment, attended a local establishment to deal with a female who was causing a disturbance. The female was removed and issued a Provincial Offences notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
A short time later the same female party returned and police were called to remove her. The female was arrested for public intoxication and was being escorted out of the establishment when she became assaultive with the officers. The female struck one of the officers in the facial area numerous times with a closed fist. The female was restrained and transported to the Quinte West detachment.
33 year old Brenda DAVIS, of Quinte West, was charged with
Public Intoxication
Resisting Arrest
Assaulting a Peace Officer
DAVIS was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in March 2017. There were no injuries reported by the officer.
Residential Break and Enter
(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On the 26th of February 2017 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Quinte West detachment, attended a Hamilton Road address for a report of the Break and Enter to a garage.
Sometime between the 25th of February 2017 at 20:00hrs and the 26th of February 2017 at 07:30hrs, unknown suspect(s) entered a locked garage through a broken window. Once inside a number of items were removed from the garage.
