(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On February 23, 2017 at 3:55 p.m., members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police were called to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 141 and Lake Joseph Road in Seguin Township.
Investigation has revealed that a vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a guard rail. Once police were on scene, the officer spoke with the driver and determined that he had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of the investigation;
Steven FERRIS, 46 years of age from Seguin Township was arrested and charged with;
Driving with More than 80 mgs., contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Defective Brakes, contrary to section 64(7) of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on March 16, 2017 to answer to his charges.
