At just before 12:30 p.m., police observed a northbound motor vehicle traveling at what appeared to be high rate of speed. The officer activated the RADAR and the motor vehicle registered at a speed of 145 kilometres per hour in a posted 80 kilometer per hour zone. As a result, Lambton OPP has charged 21 year-old Peter William FAIS of Sarnia, for

Race a Motor Vehicle

The accused drivers licence was seized and motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days as per Provincial statute.

The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Friday April 14th, 2017.

Driving 50 or more kilometers per hour over the posted speed limit is one of the most serious and reckless forms of aggressive driving. The OPP supports this and any other legislation aimed at saving lives and taking drivers who engage in high-risk behaviour off the road.
