(Bancroft, ON) – On the 11 March 2017, in the early evening, officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on patrol in the Town of Bancroft observed a male driver on Highway 62 operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner.
The Officers initiated a traffic stop on the motor vehicle and while speaking with the driver they determined that the male had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Markus HINTERBERGER, 29 years of the Town of Bancroft has been charged with Driving with over 80mgs Alcohol in 100mls of Blood, Drive motor vehicle – hand held device and driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
The accused was released on a promise to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on March 28, 2017.
