On April 21, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged a local 15-year-old with assault and being unlawfully in a dwelling house.
Around 12:30 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an unwanted person in a residence in the 300 block of Lake Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene. An investigation revealed the accused youth was in the victims’ residence without permission, assaulted an adult, and assaulted a child. The adult victim sustained minor physical injuries. The victims and accused are known to one another. The accused was arrested.
The accused is charged with:

- Unlawfully in Dwelling House
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
