Home Invasion – Vehicle Stolen

On April 20, 2026, detectives with the Bail Compliance Unit charged 37-year-old Justin Bowerman with break and enter, theft of motor vehicles, and several other offences.

Around 11:30 a.m. on February 6, 2026, 911 Communicators received a report of a break and enter at a residence in the 200 block of Pim Street. An investigation revealed the accused—while wearing a face and head covering—broke into a residence, stole keys for two vehicles, stole one vehicle, and drove away. The victims and accused are not known to one another.

Shortly before 7:00 a.m. on February 9, 2026, 911 Communicators received a report of a break and enter at a business in the 300 block of Great Northern Road. An investigation revealed the accused—while wearing a face and head covering and driving the vehicle reported stolen on February 6, 2026—drove to the business, used an object to damage property and gain entry, and stole property from the business. Shortly thereafter, the stolen vehicle was found abandoned—stuck in a snowbank in the 1800 block of Queen Street East—with the stolen merchandise inside.

Around 8:50 a.m. on February 10, 2026, 911 Communicators received a report of the theft of another motor vehicle in the 200 block of Pim Street. An investigation revealed the accused—using the vehicle keys they stole on February 6, 2026—stole the other vehicle from the same residence. The vehicle was later recovered.

On April 20, 2026, detectives attended the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre—where the accused is being held in custody for unrelated matters—and arrested the accused.

The accused is charged with:

  • Break, Enter Dwelling House – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Disguise with Intent x2
  • Possession Break In Instruments
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5,000 x2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle x2
  • Mischief – Under $5,000
  • Mischief – Over $5,000

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
