(Pembroke, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, the OPP Technological Crime Unit and the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment have arrested and charged a Pembroke man following a six week child pornography investigation.
On March 29, 2017 police executed a search warrant at a Pembroke residence. Police arrested and charged Michael Macklin, age 36 years of Pembroke Ontario with one count of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Making Available Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography
The accused has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing today, March 30 2017, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
