(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On April 15, 2017, at approximately 11:54 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial (OPP), Middlesex Centre Fire Services, and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a two vehicle collision on Richmond Street.
A black van which was travelling northbound on Richmond Street north of Eight Mile Road struck the rear of a white van which was also northbound.
The driver of the black van had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to hospital by ambulance with life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are attending the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Richmond Street (Highway 4) remains closed between Eight Mile Road and Nine Mile Road. Motorists must find alternative routes.
