Transport Trucks Collided – One Airlifted To Hospital

(TOWSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – Today at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Wellington North Fire Service responded to a two vehicle collision involving two transports on Highway 6 between Sideroad 7 and Sideroad 8 of the Township of Wellington North.

The male driver of one of the vehicles was taken to a local hospital by EMS then will be transported by air ambulance with life threatening injuries. The other driver was not injured.

Highway 6 between Sideroad 6 and Sideroad 8 is closed while the investigation continues. Wellington County Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) will be attending the scene. More information will be released when it becomes available.
