On the 24th of April 2017, an officer with Prince Edward OPP was conducting radar enforcement on Cty Rd 49 near County Road 6 at 8:00pm when a speeding vehicle was stopped. In speaking with the driver, the officer noted he had been consuming alcohol. The subsequent investigation resulted in a multitude of charges.
Stephen WENN age 40yrs of Hallowell was arrested and held for a bail hearing pending the following charges:
Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80mgs, Driving While Disqualified, Breach of Probation, Driving While under a Highway Traffic Act Suspension X 2, and Speeding.
WENN is also wanted in Alberta for similar offences.
WENN was held in custody and will next appear in Belleville Courts on the 2nd of May.
