(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment investigated an incident at a Highway 59, South Walsingham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Monday, May 15, 2017 at approximately 7:52 p.m., officers were contacted by a concerned resident reporting a mischief.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a 13-year-old male was flying his Unmanned Aerial System (drone) on his families’ property, when it suddenly went out of control and landed on a neighbouring property. Investigators determined that the drone had been struck by a projectile that was fired from a firearm.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 18-year-old Bradley Daniel WOODWARD of Norfolk County, Ontario with mischief under $5,000 dollars.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
