(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10:35 a.m., West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police and the Parry Sound District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of a person with vital signs absent at a residence in Whitestone Township.
Investigation has since revealed that the injured person was at the residence to complete work in cutting down trees. At some point, the male was struck by a portion of a falling tree. As a result, Randy TABOBONDUNG, 59 years of age from Wasauksing First Nation was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post-mortem examination is expected to be completed.
The Ministry of Labour is assisting in the investigation.
