Criminals Record Their Sexual Assault, Mugging And Extortion Of Female Victim – Names Released

On May 8, 2017 officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were notified of a historic sexual assaulted that had occurred on February 16, 2016 in the Town of Caledon.

At the time of the incident, the female victim was transported in a vehicle to the Caledon area from Brampton by a male who was known to her and another male. While in the vehicle the two males then assaulted, sexually assaulted and stole items from the victim while recording their actions.

As a result of the police investigation, Harjit Singh BHATTI, 21, of Brampton has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada: Sexual Assault, Publication of an intimate image without consent, Voyeurism, Theft of Credit Card, Theft Under $5000, Assault, and Extortion.

Kartik Sanjay KARKARE, 19, of Scarborough has also been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada: Sexual Assault, Publication of an intimate image without consent, Voyeurism, Theft of Credit Card, Theft Under $5000, Assault, and Extortion.
