(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue to investigate a brazen theft of a pickup truck stolen that was stolen late last week.
On Friday, June 16th around 3:30 p.m. a group of employees were working in a farmer’s field located on Kirkton Road near Bronson Line when they observed someone pull up to their pickup truck. The suspect got out of an older model Dodge pickup truck and quickly jumped into the unlocked GMC pickup truck, located the ignition key and quickly sped off right before their eyes.
Some of the workers chased after the truck but they lost sight of the truck travelling eastbound on Kirkton Road. Huron OPP officers patrolled the area for the stolen truck however it was not located.
The stolen truck is described as a black, 2016 GMC 2500 with a 2 inch lift kit, chrome rims and a bug deflector. Also stolen from inside the pickup were a wallet and a pay cheque.
