26 Year Old Found Passed Out Behind Wheel – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On October 8, 2017 at approximately 3:35 a.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on general patrol observed a vehicle pulled off to the side of the road with a male driver passed out over the steering wheel on Highway 6 near Sideroad 10, Township of Wellington North.

The officer was able to gain entry to the vehicle and wake the male up. The male driver was observed to be exhibiting signs of impairment by alcohol.

26-year-old Grant Wilson has been charged with Impaired Driving and Driving with Over 80 Mgs of alcohol in 100 mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to attend Guelph Court on November 17, 2017.
