39 Year Old Arrested At RIDE – Name Released

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On October 29, 2017 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) Check on the Hanlon Expressway near Wellington Street, Guelph. At approximately 3:00 a.m. the driver of a Toyota entered the R.I.D.E. check.

The driver was stopped and while speaking with the female driver officers formed the opinion that she was impaired by alcohol. A Roadside Screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. She was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

A search incident to arrest located a small amount of marihuana and cocaine.

39-year-old Corrinne THOMPSON of Burlington has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood, Driving While Disqualified, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marihuana and Fail to Provide Insurance Card. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. She is scheduled to attend Guelph Court on December 8, 2017.
