On November 3rd at 7:25 pm, the South Bruce OPP received another complaint about an aggressive salesman from Summitt Energy demanding to see previous hydro bills at a residence along James Street in Paisley. The Summitt Energy office is located in Mississauga and offers discounted prices on gas and electricity.
Home owners are asked not to share previous bills unless you wish to entertain a quote from Summitt Energy. If you don’t want these sales people in your home, simply ask them to leave. If they refuse, call police and we will remove them for you. The Trespass to Property Act provides an arrest authority and maximum $2,000 dollar fine for “Fail to leave premises when directed.â€
