On the 5th of November 2013, Barrie Police responded to located at #41 Mapleveiw Dr. Barrie, Ontario in regards to two female shoplifters.
Officers arrived on scene and arrested a 51 year old mother and her 21 year old daughter for numerous criminal charges.
The mother and daughter team are facing numerous charges including;
Theft Under
Possession of Stolen Property
Assault
Utter Death Threats
Obstruct Police
Possession of a concealed weapon.
The investigation revealed that the security officer was threatened with death and assaulted while attempting to arrested the accused persons.
Officers located a knife concealed within the bra of one of the accused (daughter)
Officers located the accused motor vehicle and discovered that it was full of stolen merchandise form numerous stores located within both Simcoe County and York Region.
The investigation is continuing.
The security officer was not injured as a result of this occurrence.
Both the accused persons were held in police custody and will appear in Bail Court on the 06th day of November 2013.
