UPDATE: OPP INVESTIGATING ROBBERY AT LOCAL STORE

(Bracebridge, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Bracebridge Detachment has arrested and charged two people in relation to the robbery at the Mac’s Convenience store on Taylor Road in the town of Bracebridge.

On November 6, 2013 at approximately 10:20 pm an unknown male suspect entered the convenience store wearing a black toque, with a white bandana covering his face and was holding a knife. The male fled the scene on foot and had a vehicle waiting in the area.

On November 7, 2013 at 9:50 am members of the Bracebridge detachment attended the Canadian Tire in Gravenhurst to investigate a theft of a vacuum cleaner and obtained suspect information.

The members of Muskoka Vice located the vehicle used in the vacuum theft and arrested two individuals involved. The Muskoka Vice and the Muskoka Crime Unit conducted a thorough investigation and uncovered evidence linking the two individuals to the robbery of the Mac’s Convenience store.

Louis CLOSE 27-year-old male of Bracebridge has been charged with:

CC 344(b) Robbery with Violence (weapon)
CC 351(2) Disguise with Intent
CC 334(b) Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING
CDSA 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs

Randalyn COURRIERE 26-year-old female of Gravenhurst has been charged with:

CC 344(b) Robbery with Violence (weapon)
CC 334(b) Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING
CDSA 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs

The two accused are held in custody to attend Bracebridge court on November 8, 2013.
