Following an investigation a charge had been laid under the Retail Business Holiday Act against a business in Renfrew. Provincial Constable Mark Yarmel was on duty on Monday October 14, the Statutory Holiday known as Thanks giving. He observed Urban Planet a retail clothing business to be open and making sales. The general manager for the store was issued a summons to appear in court in Renfrew charged with openly selling goods on a holiday, contrary to the Act. The case will appear on the court docket for Provincial Offences court in Renfrew on November 22.
