On November 3 at approximately 1:10am OPP officers were dispatched to assist MNR officers who had stopped a vehicle on Mhusk Road in Admaston/Bromley Township and believed the driver had been drinking. The male driver failed a roadside alcohol screening test and was arrested. Following further testing at the detachment Bryan BLIMKIE 27 of Admaston/Bromley Township was charged with impaired driving and driving over 80mgs. He was released on a promise to appear in court in Renfrew on November 27. Provincial Constable Hayley Chaplin investigated.
Officers were conducting RIDE spot checks at the intersection of Highway 17 and Storyland Road in Horton Township on Thursday November 7 at approx. 12:05am. A vehicle with a female driver failed to stop for the officers and slowly drove past them. She was stopped a short distance away and officers realized she had been drinking. She was arrested for impaired driving and brought to the detachment for breath tests. At the conclusion of the investigation Jennifer BEAUCHEMIN 31 of Whitewater Region was charged with impaired driving and driving over 80mgs. She was wanted on outstanding charges and held for a bail hearing on November 7. Provincial Constable George Mikhael investigated.
